Terms of use

Effective date: July 27, 2026. These terms are a product implementation draft and require jurisdiction-appropriate legal review before public launch.

Your copies

You may upload only files you are authorized to possess and privately process. You retain ownership of your files and annotations. Readtry receives only the limited permission needed to store, validate, convert, display, back up, and return them to you.

No file sharing

Reading circles share book identity, selected progress, and explicitly shared notes. They do not transfer book files. Each member must supply their own lawful copy.

Prohibited use

Do not upload unlawful material, malware, stolen credentials, DRM-circumvention output, or content intended to attack the service. Do not attempt to access another account or overload conversion and OCR services.

Availability and conversions

Readtry preserves originals but cannot promise that every malformed or legacy file will convert perfectly. OCR text may contain errors; the original page remains authoritative.

Before launch, add a monitored copyright notice address, a complete takedown process, repeat-infringer policy, operator identity, governing law, and dispute terms.
