Privacy at Readtry

Effective date: July 27, 2026. This policy is a product implementation draft and must be reviewed with the operator’s legal details before public launch.

What Readtry stores

Google supplies your stable account identifier, verified email, display name, and optional profile image. Readtry stores books you upload, browser-friendly derivatives, metadata, reading positions, bounded active-reading intervals, annotations, preferences, and circle memberships.

How it is used

Your data operates the library, reader, synchronization, insights, offline downloads, and circles you choose. Readtry does not use book text, notes, or Google account data to train models or sell advertising profiles.

Reading measurement

Active reading time is an estimate based on visibility, focus, navigation, and bounded heartbeats. Raw pointer movement and typed keystrokes are not stored. Listening and visual reading are reported separately.

Circles

Circle members never gain access to your uploaded file. Only progress you elect to share and annotations you explicitly publish are visible to circle members.

Retention and control

You may download original books and annotations. Deleted books remain in recoverable trash for seven days before unreferenced files are purged. Encrypted operational backups expire under the published backup schedule.

Contact

Before launch, replace this paragraph with the operator’s legal name, jurisdiction, privacy email, and postal contact.
